Media Zone Authority – Abu Dhabi (MZA) announced plans to streamline its initiatives that support the film and television industry in order to strengthen its contribution to the Capital’s gross domestic product.
Three Arab films supported by SANAD, the Development and Post-Production Fund of twofour54, have won awards at the 66th annual Berlin International Film Festival.
SANAD funded film, Theeb, has been nominated for an Academy Award in the Best Foreign Language Film category.
Three out of seven Arab films competing for Best Foreign Language Film category are funded by SANAD.
SANAD will provide a cash prize of $10,000 to be awarded, along with three other prizes.
The two films were screened at VOX Cinemas, Nation Galleria Abu Dhabi on November 5 and 10 respectively.
