The 6th Abu Dhabi Film Festival Opens Call for Entries
The Abu Dhabi Film Festival has announced its call for entries
for the sixth edition of the Festival, to be held October 11-20,
2012. The Festival welcomes narrative and documentary films both
feature length and short for its variety of competitive and
noncompetitive sections. Entries will be accepted until
July 1, 2012.
With eight films from ADFF 2011 garnering Oscar nominations, an
unprecedented Best Foreign Language Film victory for Asghar
Farhadi's A Separation, and many others receiving further
awards and accolades around the world, the Festival has cemented
its reputation as an event that offers the very best of
international cinema. In keeping with one of its central aims, ADFF
continues to champion the region's cinema through presenting the
work of international and Arab filmmakers together in competition
on equal footing.
ADFF also honors exceptional achievements in film with cash prizes
totaling over $1 million, often facilitating future projects by
outstanding talents from around the globe.
