Watch ADFF Films on MUBI
Great news for film fans in the Middle
East: online cinema network MUBI now has a page
dedicated to the Abu Dhabi Film Festival, and for the first
time will be showing films from our competition in this area - for
free.
If you're not familiar with MUBI (which was
formerly called The Auteurs), it's an online social network
just for film lovers. Nicely designed and intuitive, it
offers reviews and information about films both new and
classic, and allows you to search
and browse, share faves with your contacts
and bookmark films you'd like to see. It also offers
full-length films for online viewing - many of them for free. It's
a great service for cinephiles or anyone who wouldn't otherwise
have access to foreign and independent films.
The films from this year's
Festival available to watch on MUBI are The Life
of Fish, from our Narrative Competition, and two films
from our Documentary Competition: Kings of Pastry and
El Ambulante (which is listed under its English
title, The Peddler, on MUBI). The films will be
available only for the duration of the Festival (which ends October
23), so it's like having part of the Festival at home. Don't miss
this chance to have some of ADFF's fantastic program at your
convenience - and sign up for MUBI to share ADFF's films
year-round.
