Project Synopsis:
Lotfi, a Tunisian immigrant, is a small time delinquent who lives in Marseille and looks after his electronics store with this girlfriend Monique. His life is turned around when his brother calls him from home to tell him his wife has passed away, leaving behind his 9-year-old autistic son. Returning home, Lotfi faces the biggest challenge of his life - getting his distant son to understand who he his.
Belkadhi started his career with marketing, but soon ventured towards filmmaking with a position at Canal+ Horizons. His short film “Tsawer” and his first feature length film “Bastardo” have won 17 awards at festivals around the world. In 2014, he released his second full length documentary “7 ½”, which was shot 3 years before the first free elections in Tunisia.
