Project Synopsis:

Zeineb, Elyssa and Houssine, a trio unlikely to ever meet, see their fates cross paths on the night of January 14, the historic date when Ben Ali fled and the Tunisian revolution transformed the face of the nation. The individual lives of these three characters represent the frustrations, challenges, hopes and dreams of the entire country, with their tragic encounter proving to be one that will bind them together for life.


Lotfi Achour is an actor, director and a veteran of theatre who spends his time in both Paris and Tunis. He has written over 25 plays, which have been performed internationally in Carthage, Paris, Avignon, Lebanon, Jordan and Egypt. After studying documentary filmmaking at Ateliers Varan in Paris, he directed four short films, and is currently working on the post-production for “Burning Hope”, his first feature fiction film.
