Project Synopsis:
Hoping to migrate illegally into Europe, ‘N’ will do whatever it takes to make it, from crossing the harsh desert in North Africa to navigating the open sea in a stolen boat. When his boat breaks down, ‘N’ enters a different state of mind, travelling to enchanting infinite spaces, holding intense transient meetings in his head, and coming face to face with an altered, unrecognisable version of himself.
Ala Eddine Slim is a renowned Tunisian filmmaker who was born in 1982, and started his film company Exit Productions in 2005. As a screenwriter, editor, producer and director, he has worked on more than 20 productions, and won festival awards including the First Prize at the Festival International du Documentaire de Marseille in 2012. “Suspension” is his first feature narrative project.
